I've only had it for a few days, so this is a "hot" review. The sound is really great, I wanted the sound of a Gibson Les Paul, and I got it. I like the clear and naturally saturated sound, and it handles well (I had to tweak the amp settings a bit too to get it really clear and sharp). The wood looks really beautiful, the notes sustain, it's quite versatile, more than I imagined. The knobs are relatively good, but I noticed a few things: Below 1, the volume is cut off (it's not a big deal, but it's a detail). In the middle position (both pickups active), if you turn one pickup all the way down, it completely cuts the sound (this can be practical as a master volume, I don't know if it's intentional or not, it doesn't bother me but it's surprising). The details in the finish... That's where you can be disappointed, for a 2575€ instrument. There are imperfections, it's a shame. Nothing that prevents playing though. Overall, it's really a nice guitar, it meets what I expected, although the level of finish is lower compared to other guitars I've had (Fender US, Korean Gretsch,...). A little effort, Gibson, and I could have given 5 stars.

Not great...

Ordered for €1611 (!) at the beginning of June and received on August 10 due to delivery delays imposed by Gibson. At that price, I bought the Gibson Les Paul Standard of my dreams. A rather thick 50s round neck but far from being a log and perfectly suited to my small hands. No finishing defects, it's the first time I've received such a perfect guitar. The top is magnificent, the pickups very convincing with sharp trebles, the tuners keep my LP well in tune. It's a heavy guitar, those who like to run 3 hours on stage will end up at the physio. The most beautiful guitar I've received and the only one I'm sure I'll never part with. A floor price, but I also have a low-cost Asian LP at €150 at home and it certainly isn't worth 10 times less. With Gibson, you also buy a brand and a dream. The case is impeccable, you want to sniff it every morning when you wake up. I don't think that's perversion. Just love. A big thank you to Woodbrass for the impeccable delivery and to Stéphane who was a very professional contact, both for advice and follow-up. Now I just have to buy a tube amp.
