What a surprise! The synth is very light and having never touched the keyboard before, I thought the feel would be mediocre given the price and the lightness of the whole (crazy lightness!). The Roland Juno is the best for me at this level and the Korg Kross sticks to the fingers and its keyboard is horrible but honestly on the Yamaha, it's rather very good and we're at the level of Roland. The sounds are magnificent and I am amazed by their quality. With Cubase included, it's great. The screen is small and makes configuration difficult without using a computer, but that's normal given the price. The more expensive it is, the bigger the screen. This synth is simply top-notch, value for money. I have always bought very good quality arranger keyboards and the mx61 has nothing to be ashamed of. The reading of Midi files is impressive in quality and beauty when pure sounds, other than GM, are used. There are quite few videos on Youtube, other than demos that all look alike with piano sound tests for ages... which is useless since all keyboards are at the same level. So, I wasn't sure if I was making a mistake. Certainly, Korg and Roland in the same price range certainly have strong points too but in any case the MX is superb. Pure happiness, I did not expect that.
