The Saxmute is a good tool, it reduces the saxophone sound by about 50%. It is divided into 3 parts: one for the mouthpiece, one for the neck, and one for the bell to absorb the sound throughout the instrument. Being in an apartment, I needed something to be able to play. I asked my neighbor to listen and used it. It seems that it does not bother at all (the apartment is moderately well insulated). However, it may not be a tool for complete beginners since the instrument is more difficult to play. On the other hand, it helps to work on the regularity of breath and air pressure. I fully recommend it. I plan to acquire an alto in the coming months and I will certainly order the alto version of the Saxmute.

This mute system is really amazing: Effective, easy to use, and moreover at a very reasonable price. It really reduces the instrument's output volume by 50% without making it any harder to play, I recommend it without any hesitation.
