HP bought as a replacement for the Jensen in my Tweed Blues Jr that equips this amp. I could no longer stand its piercing highs. And here the Celestion proves to be a very good choice, for me, its soft and mellow, beautiful deep bass, just the right mids, and finally highs that don't pierce the eardrums, and that finally allow the knobs to be truly functional.

When I was young, HiFi chain pros said what matters is not the amp but the cartridge and good speakers! And it's the same for the guitar, buy a good speaker and you'll find all your gear sounds divine. In this case, this speaker is really very very very good (bass and definition). Mounted with a Palmer, it can be installed in 5 minutes.

I installed this speaker in a FENDER Deluxe Reverb 65 ri to replace the C12K, very good in clean but not with my pedals (Timmy, Sick as...) despite removing the bright cap it still didn't work (GIBSON Midtown 57 on neck and BB on bridge), anyway...
