Not really the sound of Hawaii but sounds very good. Good build and nice finishes, easy and very pleasant to handle.

Superb ukulele, nothing to say I thank the team for the advice and the choices they made for me. This ukulele is pleasant to play With a good song it is simple and classy at the same time, it is one of my favorites. The Aquila strings are great, no need to change the strings like on some ukuleles on other sites

I've had this ukulele for a few days and I'm still wondering whether to return it or not to buy a higher-end one. What really shocked me is the plastic tuners. I find it unacceptable on an instrument sold everywhere for nearly €200 (compared to €108 here, you have to admit). You can find metal tuners for €4 on "ali" so why doesn't Kala put real tuners on this instrument? Plastic, seriously? It's chrome but you can clearly see it's chrome plastic... On the other hand, I have to say that this ukulele, even if it needs some adjustment, sounds really good, with a loud volume and lots of bass. I also ordered an Eastman EU3T at the 2022 price of €540 (the 2023 price went up to €659), all solid mahogany, absolutely beautiful, 100% handmade and comparing them I was very surprised. The little Kala has much more bass and much more volume. Sure, it looks more like a "toy" next to it with its basic construction and plastic tuners. It might also need better strings and I need to lower the nut because the strings are too high, but honestly it really holds up. So either I keep it and upgrade the tuners, strings and adjust it, or I return it to get a higher-end one. In any case, the beautiful Eastman at €540 is going back where it came from.
