I had been eyeing this rather unknown AVID product for a long time. I work with Protools and use an Artist Mix. I had the choice between the new S1 (which partially overlapped with my Artist Mix) or this Dock. Avid recently lowered the prices for this model (made in Mexico). Taking advantage of the opportunity, I jumped on it. Not disappointed. A real delight as a complement to the Artist. I hardly use the mouse anymore. Two remarks explaining the 4/5 rating: 1- you really have to put in the effort to get the most out of it and dive into the intricacies of the beast, especially with the soft keys. 2- sold with an American adapter but NO French adapter (as most companies selling internationally do). Not very serious but annoying. Fabrice
