Between playing fiery guitar solos and developing his own range of spicy sauces, Billy Gibbons has never been afraid of a little extra heat in his life. The Pearly Gates set from his highly coveted 1959 Les Paul® has been a longtime favorite among P.A.F. purists for decades. But according to him, some guitars in his collection would benefit from a slightly higher output level to deliver the sound he loves.

This demand for a more powerful pickup gave birth to the Hades Gates humbucker: an interpretation of Billy's signature sound, featuring a winding that favors an even more aggressive tone. The Alnico 2 magnets and this additional power make it easier to drive the amp into saturation, producing warm, crunchy, and bluesy sounds as desired.

The Hades Gates are handmade in Santa Barbara, California, with a 4-conductor output cable.
