These boutique pickups offer an impeccable vintage sound and look for your guitar. The neck pickup delivers a tone that is both clear and warm, the result of a perfectly balanced frequency response between a soft attack in the highs and full, generous lows. The custom-aged Alnico II magnets will make your chords shine and each note sound distinct, while the vintage-style winding and moderate output level bring out a certain harmonic richness.
The Antiquity bridge pickup delivers the open and airy tone of the famous P.A.F.s. The high notes cut through without piercing your eardrums, while the lows combine "growl" and warmth. The bridge pickup is wound to provide perfect balance with the neck pickup. The hand aging guarantees the alignment of the look with the vintage tone.
Unprecedented realism Each Antiquity humbucker is made at the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop and then aged cosmetically and magnetically to simulate natural wear from several decades of faithful service. The realism of these reproductions results from several essential ingredients: the plastic base molds come from the same factory that produced Gibson's original P.A.F.s, a custom 42AWG copper wire, Alnico 2 magnets of the correct size, a finish without paraffin bath... and to top it all off, they are wound on a Leesona machine straight from the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan (USA).
