Although this entry-level digital piano has proven itself over many years with its predecessors, today it offers much less value for money than its big brother the P-225! For only 200 euros difference, the P-225 offers a lot more, which does not justify the price of the P-145 at only 200 euros less while it is seriously limited and suffers quite a few annoyances from Yamaha.

We know that in this range the P-145 is a very good product, however there are some niggles from Yamaha! Putting two liturgical organs when only one is enough and not including a Hammond-type organ makes it much less versatile! The "DiZi" sound does not replace a good harmonica. So it lacks an organ sound and a lead sound while there are useless sounds. Moreover, it is hard to justify the price of the P-145 at only 200 euros less than the P-225 when it offers so much less! This makes its value for money much less interesting than that of its big brother! Niggles to push to the higher range?

We had been looking for several months for a model to start piano, without breaking the bank, but still of good quality. We looked at many comparisons and tests and chose this model which was highly recommended, both for its good sound quality reproducing well a real piano sound, and for a good quality of key touch, close to a real keyboard. The keyboard and its accessories (power cable, music stand, pedal, manual) are well packed, well protected. Happy for now (to be confirmed with use of course, because it's all fresh ;) )

Great for a beginner with a good touch feel, the use is easy and the absence of a screen is not a problem. The 3 months premium offered to the Flowkey app with lessons and pieces to learn with several levels of difficulty is a plus.

I bought the P-145 when it was released and so far I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The piano is super elegant and minimalist, it blends perfectly into the decor of my room. Its compact size is a real asset, especially for someone like me who has limited space. Compact means portability and I was able to take my piano to the studio, to concerts, and even on vacation (it was tight in the car but it fit!). In terms of features, the P-145 is very intuitive to use. The smart pianist app is well designed and it's quite easy to make the necessary adjustments. For sound quality, I don't really have a comparison as a beginner, but I clearly feel like I'm playing on a real piano.
