It converts the mains current to the correct voltage and current to power my boss katan mini 7-w amp. Perfect! Flat cable, a bit stiff; in a somewhat cramped desk setup I would have liked to have more cable length "coming out" of the transformer than cable going into the transformer. But well, I'm nitpicking.
