Used in intimate show broadcast in quadraphony. Broadcasting sound effects, music, and two voice microphones. Not having the budget to buy Focal or Genelec, I am quite happy with the CR5... So well, it lacks precision (especially in the low end), there is no XLR input, etc... But it is really an excellent value for money. (I bought a 76cm wheeled case, all four fit inside, very practical for tours).

Beautiful monitoring speakers that deliver great sound, the dimensions are a bit larger than my old CR4 X BT but what sound quality both in the bass and the treble. I connected them to my PC, paired with my keylab synth and Ableton Live and I am really satisfied with this product.

super value for money

Disappointed with the purchase, unfortunately the tweeter makes a fairly audible white noise, especially at my workstation.... I wanted to return it but it was sent back to me because there was no manufacturer defect... No issues with my socket or wiring Apart from that, the sound quality is good but at my workstation I hear this defect which for me is a deal breaker

Very good product Mackie kit for a desktop PC with a good sound card once well adjusted it is precise the sound is very clear nice finish and the power is there.

Looking for good speakers for my PC, After long research and quite a few comparisons, One says that the best choice of PC speaker is an active speaker... from the brand Mackie and the model CR4 Me, who is rather hi-fi/video, unknown to me!! But active speakers, that speaks to me! I need the speaker to be wider (than the CR4) to serve as a stand for my two external screens of my triple screen setup. So I choose to take the new CR.-X model, the CR5-X model at just the right height 175mm wide! Plus the new models use digital class D amplifiers... (Well friends, we will have to investigate!!) The manufacturer's website clearly states a class D and the sheet inside the box a class AB... Anyway, I plug in, turn on... Damn, already it starts badly! A slight hiss without load... Two or three tests and finally music, YouTube and Madonna... meh meh, Still YouTube but a quality recording... Now friends, I start to smile! Incredible! Madonna's must have been really bad or in mono! lol I switch to other sources and turn up the volume... It's mind-blowing how these little speakers can produce sound and good sound!!! The most incredible thing?? The bass!! Long live active speakers that manage to fully exploit the potential of a speaker! Yet I have hi-fi speakers 10x the price of these and yet I already love them!! Only qualities! Still need to run them for hours to see the result stabilize, but spatialization, speed, power, nuance, bass, everything is there! Or almost... Neutrality? !! To see for neutrality, high and mid spectrum I would say yes without too much hesitation! But for the low end, it goes low and with a lot of energy and not yet too used to active and nearfield speakers, the feeling is rather demonstrative! But how good it is! At least we don't get bored!!! So this is my first pair of active and nearfield speakers and I am delighted to have chosen this model! For comparison before I had Harman/Kardon Sound stick 1 (at 300€) not the latest models???? Nothing! Nothing to see! Sluggish listening and without really any life lolo
