Super easy to assemble I even changed the plate for a black one in Black strat style A great Fender-like sound, no buzz, it's magical Little info: I mounted them on a Squier Sonic. People who say it's useless to spend more on pickups are wrong It's still a poplar body and a maple neck and I've already had a Mexican Vintera. Well, the difference isn't huge for 4 times less money (except the pickups which are a bit crappy) But here with the Gilmour kit I have a guitar under 500 that rocks in terms of sound with quite decent craftsmanship.

The kit is very easy to install, I even transferred the kit onto a black plate (Black strat hehe ??) I mounted it on a Squier Sonic People who say it's useless to install the kit on a cheaper guitar are wrong in my opinion. The Squier Sonic is worth the Squier at 400 euros, we're talking about poplar and maple so at some point you have to stop buying just for the prestige of the price. Back to our topic It's like night and day, I get the Fender sound by setting the knobs to zero with this clean side without buzz or crackling To stand out in the mix for a solo, just turn up both knobs about 4 (no more or it becomes too much) and hop a sound boost. For me, a great kit that brings a guitar back to life.

The pickups are excellent, with a super long sustain. The system performs well even though there is background noise when activating the EXG and the SPC, mainly in clean sound according to the first tests (vox mini 5 amp). The pickguard, although said to be compatible with my squier CV60, required not only sanding to fit the neck but also drilling a new mounting hole because it was not in the same place as on my old one. Installation is quite quick if you follow a tutorial found online, not counting the small adjustments. The product remains an excellent choice, I am amazed by the sound dynamics of the system.

Super easy installation on my US Strat, just by loosening the strings without disassembly. The "tone" adjustment takes a bit of getting used to but proves to be relatively versatile (don't hesitate to try with various amps), watch out for the volume which crunches easily. Only downside: a slight lack of expression in the intermediate positions compared to the original setup, otherwise great sound everywhere!

In terms of sound, nothing to complain about, it's really what I expected, I'm not disappointed. However, the kit does not install as easily as it might seem. Owner of a Strat Clapton, I had to: - Enlarge the hole (so drill) to pass the wires going from the female jack to the electronic board - Remove the neck because it seemed impossible to slide the pickguard underneath without risking some damage to a pickup, the wires, or the electronics - Finally, this new pickguard shows holes because the old ones have fewer screws

A pure delight. Vintage-sounding pickups, and as versatile as you want. The setup to start: not being a professional solderer, the electronic plugs are very handy, and the plate is changed in 10 minutes! (However, plan for a 9V battery, it is not included in the kit although essential.) Aesthetically speaking, the pickups - although their modern look contrasts with their sound - are very sober and beautiful. The pearloid plate itself is also magnificent: however, I preferred the white plate of my Fiesta Red Stratocaster (... A little déjà vu for Pink Floyd fans from the post-Waters era?) Now to the main point: The sound. From the first notes... A SOUND THAT SENDS P.U.L.S.E! To hell with purists who say active pickups are cold and tasteless! Snappy and vintage as desired, with breathtaking sustain. The EXG allows switching from a classic 60's Stratocaster sound to a more modern and powerful sound, without distorting the Stratocaster's tone. Finally, the SPC acts like a real boost that rivals humbuckers! The position change is made without any crackle, and that silence... "Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!" I finally want to highlight the versatility of these pickups. They allow an incredible variety of sound thanks to the tone potentiometers that 90% of guitarists usually leave at position 10 without touching. And although this plate is a Grail for Pink Floyd diehards, it allows playing Dire Straits songs cleanly with the greatest respect, as an example. (And yes! Mark Knopfler's Pensa Suhr pickups are EMG-SA as well!) From Comfortably Numb to Sultans Of Swing... There's only one step. From clean to heavy distortion... as well! With the SPC potentiometer at maximum, I was surprised to be able to play Maiden without trouble. In short, a delight of silence, sustain, and versatility. Finally, the active pickups add a real plus, both in sound and originality. These pickups definitely stand out, no more being "Another Brick in the Wall!"

Super good micros and especially very easy to assemble. As for Woodbrass, nothing to complain about the extremely fast shipping, product identical to the description. But once again, make an effort with your packages, because on that side it's chaotic. Done hastily with just a black protective plastic, these are still expensive products!!!!!

Having two left hands, it took me a little time. Installed on a Squier Standard Stratocaster and not a Fender, the plate is very close to the bottom of the guitar, so there is no "pit" to place the battery. First solution: place the 9V battery between the two pickups (bridge and middle) Second solution that I adopted, place the 9V battery against the large zinc plate of the tremolo. There is just enough space and it is not tight. Pass the power wire through the hole where the ground wire goes to the springs. Once all this is done, you end up with pickups that completely change the identity of the guitar. The two systems adapted to the "tone" knobs allow sculpting the sound and are very effective. My amp woke up when I increased the guitar volume. On a guitar like mine equipped with rather mediocre pickups, it completely changes the character of the guitar. It remains a Stratocaster, but you can feel that the beast has power under the hood. You can limit the effects and stay Strat-typed or almost go for the Humbucker sound. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent, a very good Strat' sound and incredible versatility! The booster system helps to better bring out the vibrations of the guitar wood! On a good US Strat', the result is amazing!
