I just received the pack and I just compared it to its direct competitor from Thomann (micro t bone sc 400, stand and pop up but without, I think, the cable). In my opinion, it's identical, tests to support it. I even think these mics come from the same factory. One is black and the other silver but their response is identical. All this to tell you that it's an excellent purchase you are making at this price. Everything is of very good quality: the stand, mic, pop up, and the cable. I have a small Art tube preamp and the sound card and that's all. With this pack, you can make very, very decent recordings. Of course, it's not a Neumann nor a good Shure but I guarantee you that for the price it does much more than one could expect (better than some mics costing more than double). Really, if you are looking for a mic for voice or guitar recording and others, don't hesitate especially if you are not very wealthy, you will not be disappointed. hello everyone I haven't tested it yet but 1 microphone succeeds at the level of design misleading because same design as a lamp microphone. I am an rnb, soul singer I have 1 home studio and I can't wait to test it. good quality price ratio for 1 electric microphone. besides it deceives its look is that of a lamp microphone. I recommend it 1 beautiful and good microphone for a small budget. my advice this microphone works with a mandatory electric power supply, my advice do not buy unnecessarily a mixing console with phantom power, it is sold a small box called amp for this kind of electrocardioid microphone for 25 euros. so that was my little advice for everyone. Very good quality product. The stand is a bit fragile but if you tighten it well it remains stable. In response to some about the connections. The microphone only connects via XLR (XLR cable included in the pack). I paired it with a mixing console that has an XLR input. (http://www.woodbrass.com/alto-professional-zmx52-console-compact-5-voies-p125848.html, excellent value for money). For connection to a computer, you will need an external sound card that supports the output connections of the sound card (jack or white/red RCA). Maybe other sound cards have USB communications, for more simplicity and ease. In any case, this product is great.

As this is my first "real" recording microphone, I don't really have any points of comparison, but the output seems excellent to me! The stand as well as the other accessories are also of good quality.
If, like me, this is your first microphone of this kind, don't forget to order the power supply and the extra cable at the same time to connect to your console.

At this price... 59 for the microphone + stand + cable + pop filter... unbeatable... the brand bird is actually from eagletone.... the sound is very good, I don't have much comparison but in any case it really matches what I was looking for. I use it on a line6 UX2 and the sound is perfect, the interface preamps do their job, I didn't need to add a preamp on the microphone. I'm delighted!

it's a change from my stage mics not really made for home studio.
the voice is warm, the harmonica goes very well with it as does the acoustic guitar.

To answer you, this microphone must have a phantom power supply box that connects to the PC. To better help and advise you, it would be better for you to buy a portable sound card equipped with a professional quality power supply with microphone connection, this one costs only 125, it is the "Alesis i02"

I just received my eagletone pack and my phantom power supply box. Fast delivery, nothing to say about that. Well packed and everything. Only detail: delivered with only one XLR cable, whereas 2 are needed to connect the box. It would have been good to specify that. Otherwise perfect. Thanks woodbrass

To answer the question, I connect it to my M-audio fast track pro audio interface and it works thanks to its power supply. (The power supply can be useful if you have a guitar without a pedal or amp). Otherwise, the microphone is really not bad for the price but I have nothing to compare it to.
