The Neumann TLM 107 delivers true high definition sound quality at an affordable price. Neumann has developed this microphone for project and home studio users who prefer to capture a colorless sound image, true to the original source, in order to retain all post-processing and mixing options. The TLM 107, on the other hand, offers all the flexibility needed to achieve high-quality recording from any source in any situation.
Neumann decided to give the TLM 107 a modern look, although the large tapered grille echoes the iconic design of Neumann classics such as the M 49 tube microphone. The sleek navigation rocker on the rear of the microphone is a pleasure to see. use because it controls all parameters in one place: pad (0 / –6 / –12 dB), low cut (lin / 40 Hz / 100 Hz) and polar diagrams (omni / cardioid wide / -cardioid / Hyper cardioid / figure-8).
The new double diaphragm condenser capsule is specially designed for the TLM 107 to provide exceptional transient response and an extended and carefully balanced frequency response for all pole patterns. This means that you can adjust the directional pattern according to the recording situation without affecting the overall sound balance. Which is quite extraordinary for a large diaphragm microphone! And it goes without saying that the TLM 107 delivers true Neumann quality in all settings.
