J-45 Standard, Vintage Sunburst
The J-45 is the best-selling Gibson acoustic guitar model of all time.
Nicknamed "The Workhorse" and first introduced in 1942, this iconic acoustic has become the cornerstone of its round-shoulder, dreadnought line. World-renowned for its full, balanced expression, warm bass, and excellent projection, the J-45 has been refined to carry this legacy to new heights.
The Gibson J-45 Standard delivers a sound with incredible dynamic range, warm mids, and a tight, punchy bass due in part to its round-shoulder body and sides that are made from solid mahogany and its solid Sitka spruce top; it's a classic tonewood recipe that is ideal for all musical styles.
The mahogany neck has a comfortable and fast-playing SlimTaper profile and is topped with a rosewood fretboard that is outfitted with 20 standard frets and adorned with simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The neck is fitted to the body with a compound dovetail joint, ensuring outstanding tonal transfer and sustain.
The traditional rosewood belly-up bridge is outfitted with a TUSQ saddle and bridge pins. A low-friction TUSQ nut, along with the quality Grover Rotomatic tuners, ensures solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning up.
The J-45 Standard is equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup and active preamp, so it is stage and studio-ready from the moment you take it out of the included hardshell case.
