I chose to buy this amp to be able to play in different styles ranging from jazz to rock and some more "pop" tracks. "Made in Vietnam" manufacturing but nothing to complain about, it's very well made. Anyway, they are all made in Asia. Already having a very good Line 6 DT25 amp, excellent but not always portable, I wanted a small portable amp but powerful enough. The compromise was the VT40X whose power seems sufficient for rehearsals. I hesitated for a long time with the Fender Mustang III and the Spider V 30/60, which are also very efficient but too bulky or not suitable for my needs. What I appreciate right away is this "very realistic" grain which, for modeling, respects the timbre of guitars and different pickups more and seems notably warmer and livelier than Line 6. (I still have a very effective Pod HD500X.) The Spider offers more possibilities and a better developed PC and mobile interface, (see the excellent tests carried out by locomotiv and especially that of the VT20X.) To better tame the beast and quickly understand its ergonomics, it is preferable to go through the Tone Room editor. The +: - Excellent clean and crunch sounds. - Relatively simple and effective settings - Tone Room editor on PC and Mac - The price The -: - No audio interface. - The Tone Room Android editor is faulty (I'm trying to fix the problem, it works with a Z5 but not with a Tab S) - No Bluetooth or other wireless connection. - Mini jack audio output, a bit limited. - No customtone, like on Line 6 The small flaws of this amp might put off some beginners but I really recommend it because the audio quality is superb. As for the displayed price, don't hesitate to negotiate it, whatever the store.... (Show more)

The bomb!!! I bought this amp despite the advice of my purist "tube" friends. I was mainly playing hard rock and now, after a month of use, I'm playing everything!!! Funk, old rock, even metal with an astonishing sound quality. I only have one complaint about this amp: the ugly plastic handle... otherwise, nothing to say, it is very powerful for a 40w, the basic settings (treble, mid, bass) are very precise and do not saturate the sound. The effects are magical and the multitude of preset sounds are excellent. I won't say like everyone else "yes, there are too many buttons... it's confusing... it's not intuitive, etc." but rather I will say you need to spend several hours testing the effects and presets to evaluate and appreciate the multiple tones of this amp. Great amp! A truly magnificent sound, especially in crunch. The sound modeling is very successful and the dynamics are stunning! Very easy-to-use amp, it's not a complicated machine where you spend more time searching for sounds than playing, lots of effects available and tone room is also very simple to set up (for tinkerers. .:) only small downside, the software is in English, Mr VOX could have made an effort :( like for the optional footswitch, Oh gods of the euro, when you hold us... for an amateur guitarist like me, this amp is just PERFECT!

Great amp. The sound is really good! Very easy to use, you can customize everything via the tone room (via PC or iPhone/iPad, beware it's mini USB). It also respects your instrument, I play on Gibson, but when a Strat arrives, nothing to do with it, it becomes more crisp, you immediately hear the difference. In short, buy it with your eyes closed!! Something to think about, I use it to work at home, and frankly the 20w would have been enough, because it sounds loud.

High-performance amplifier weight/dimensions/price (paid 222 euros). Very good dynamics and sound density. The clear sounds are of quite exceptional quality for this type of product. Not yet tested the saturated sounds, but it looks promising. Nothing to say about the effects which correspond with the rest. Used in the studio, it holds its own against other giants and easily covers the drums. Very satisfied with the product and WOODBRASS service.

Super product, obviously Vox par excellence!! Really recommend, very good result, warmth of sound with its tube amp and ease of programming!! I am a pro and I give five stars.. Amp with many sound possibilities, especially for clean sounds (a good point for the lamp/Class/Bias choice). Likewise, the USB connection possibilities are very interesting. However, curiously, the saturated sounds, although very good, are much less good (less creamy) than on previous models (VT+). However, for the price asked, it remains an excellent amp!

Great modeling amp with very good sound. Only the settings are a bit tricky to adjust to find your happiness. Reading the manual is essential. The ability to tune your instrument via the control panel is very convenient.

Super Vox Amplifier with a super clean sound and it's also a perfect Amp for ROCK with all its effects and Amp types like the legendary VOX AC30. It has 40w of power and can even go up to 60w.
