The Korg group has owned the Vox brand since 1992 and, thanks to this relationship, the venerable British company benefits from the innovations of the Japanese giant. Recently, Korg developed a new type of cutting-edge tube called Nutube. This Nutube is at the heart of Voxs MV range, miniature amps capable of delivering impressive power. Each model in the series has its own unique personality, and the one were focusing on here is simply called Rock.

The MV-50 Rock resembles hot-rodded Marshall tones, with more gain than a vintage Plexi and an attack compressed enough to tackle Van Halen or Iron Maidens repertoire. Despite the products technological sophistication, Vox has maintained its tradition of simple controls, as the MV50 Rock works its magic with only three knobs: Gain, Tone, and Volume. No multiple channels or emulationsjust a straightforward transition from Marshall crunch to Marshall saturation, a refreshing simplicity in use.

The rear panel hides a switch that controls the amps overall EQ depending on the cabinet you connect it to. With a small speaker like Voxs 8-inch BC108, the Deep function adds bass for a fuller low end. On a 4x12, the Flat position prevents headaches from bass overload. And if you dont have a cabinet, theres still a headphone output with speaker simulation! They really thought of everything...

The speaker simulator is ideal for direct recording. Since the MV50 also features a line/headphone output, it can be connected directly to a mixer or audio interface, making it suitable as a recording amp. The MV50 also includes a speaker simulation circuit that accurately reproduces the characteristics of a cabinet and the air it moves. The perfect match with the new Vox BC108 and BC112 cabinets!
