The Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X ushers in a new era for the long-established company in Heilbronn. While our PRO series classics are considered the benchmark products in professional studios around the world, the new PRO line is suitable for flexible use both in the studio and on the go. This is all made possible by the new STELLAR.45 driver which reproduces the best sound in studio quality out loud without any distortion - with all playback devices.

The STELLAR.45 sound transducer, developed and produced in Heilbronn, Germany, delivers that proven Beyerdynamic sound at studio headphone-class performance levels never before achieved. This is due to the neodymium ring magnet as well as the high tech copper coated wire. The compromise between electrical conductivity and the weight of the wire is unique. In combination with the new three-layer speaker diaphragm with an integrated damping layer, this has created a highly efficient driver system that works superbly on all playback devices.

The innovative diaphragm structure controls the axial movement of the voice coil and ensures that it remains properly positioned in the magnet air gap even during high oscillations. Another advantage is the wide and natural frequency response. The rapid transducer response and detailed transient response, produced by the low weight of the coil, create consistently reliable, distortion-free sound, even at high sound pressure levels.

Whether on an audio interface, laptop, tablet or mobile phone: thanks to our new high-performance STELLAR.45 driver, the PRO X headphones with an impedance of 48 ohms reproduce sound at volume and power at familiar studio-quality levels - on all playback devices. The cable concept is also clearly suitable for everyday use: the detachable mini-XLR cable can be swapped out as needed to be replaced with cables of different lengths or with other connectivity options.

Ok, headphones, I've had a lot of them, sometimes at outrageous prices. Big portable headphones, big gaming headphones, big hi-fi headphones, etc... This is the best value for money I've tested! I highly recommend it without hesitation. It comes with 2 cables of two different lengths, depending on your need. I enjoy listening to my music without feeling isolated at home, I can finally hear when someone talks to me or when delivery people ring the doorbell! ;) No lack in bass, it's really present and the whole is homogeneous, well balanced with a natural timbre. Works great with jazz, rock, classical and also underground electro. I own the DT 770 Pro 80ohm, the DT 990 Pro as well and other headphones too. If you want to go for a Bayer 770 or 990 and can increase your budget for the DT-900 Pro X, it's really worth it! It's a headphone that will slap other headphones 2 to 3 times more expensive.... Hi! After buying a 770 for my wife and not being convinced... I opted for the 900 pro X ;) open-back headset, I even think about getting the 700 pro X one day which is its equivalent in closed-back headset ;) The 48 ohms works very well on phones, mp3 players, and sound cards...

An excellent headset. Just a bit heavy compared to the padding of the headband. After a while, it becomes painful on the top of the head and needs to be moved to relieve it. Apart from that, it meets what you expect from a Beyerdynamic DT.

Headphones received with one of the 2 jack/mini XLR cables not working. It's disappointing given the price of the headphones... I own AKG headphones with the same type of jack/mini XLR cable with which I have never encountered this type of problem. As for the listening experience, however, it is excellent. I also own the DT 770 and 990 Pro which allowed me to compare. The soundstage is much wider than the DT 770 Pro, the bass is tight, powerful and fast without being tiring, and the placement of instruments is even better than the DT 990 Pro (which was my favorite until now), the treble and upper mids slightly recessed so more natural to my taste. I use it for HiFi listening on an Atoll 120 HD DAC.... (Show more)
