Description

NS-2 NOISE SUPPRESSOR The NS-2 effectively eliminates noise and hum of the input signal while preserving the original sound's tonality. The natural attack and envelope are unaffected thanks to BOSS's unique noise detection circuit that precisely separates the guitar sound and the noise components.

A simple and effective noise suppressor. Not very pretty, but well, it's a utility pedal that I always leave on (in "mute" mode and the pedal off, it works in reduction). I use it in 4 cable method, because that way it cuts the noise from the pre-amp pedals (overdrive and distortions), but also the amp preamp (mesa mini rectifier that goes into the saturated channel) and the effects in the loop. So you might think it's strange to spend 100 bucks on a pedal that "does nothing", but once you have it, you can't do without it because it's so silent when you stop playing.

Finished with the eternal turbo-diesel background noise. My settings: -Decay: 1/3. -Threshold: 2/3. -Pedal always on. And I don't touch anything anymore! Gear: -Multi-effects platform or chain of analog pedals. -Amp: Fender/Gretsch/Marshall. -Guitars: Fender/Gibson. Does it color the sound? To my knowledge, the sound of an electric guitar is always colored, adjust your effects! I wonder why I didn't buy this earlier, especially given the price... Simple, effective, you forget it and it does its job... INDISPENSABLE!!!

My latest acquisition to replace my Hush II CX which died. This pedal wired in loop in my multi-effects is simply extraordinary. And it is much better than my old HUSH. Absolutely essential pedal for me who uses a Fender Deluxe Hot rod III, all-tube amp and preamp, so already quite a bit of hiss at high volume, as well as a pedalboard that also generates quite a bit! This Boss NS-2 connected in loop removed all unwanted noise, so great for me!

Pedal RECOMMENDED! To everyone who has a problem with heavy distortion, I play in a death metal band, I use a power monster, and this noise gate solved all my problems, it's what I expected from it, in terms of value for money, I find it excellent! I recommend it!

Relatively effective at reducing the hum, buzz, or hiss of an old amp. Tried on an old Valvestate; satisfactory result in effect loop only (removes about 75% of unwanted noise in gate). Kudos again to the Woodbrass team for their professionalism Xavier

I use a Fender Deluxe Hot Rod III, so always a bit noisy at good power + various pedals generating noise, and this Boss NS2 used in the effects loop is absolutely brilliant, no more noise, whistling or anything!!! Awesome!
