Very practical, efficient but you have to take care of them if you want them to last.

The irreplaceable Moongel. It's discreet and very effective for eliminating the ugly sounds of the toms. I also use it to soften my cymbals and it's very effective.

I used to use adhesive tape on my skins before having the moon gel, you really feel the difference, a more muted sound and no marks on the skins, I recommend it 100%

Before I had round attenuating gels from another brand but after a few weeks they were already dirty. With these ones it's much better since we can wash them!

it's incredible...! I really didn't expect that. at first, the sound of my toms wasn't great but as soon as I put them on, it was much more acceptable. if you want mutes, don't take the rings, they work much less well

Very useful for "killing" excess harmonics, the advantage is that you can dose by putting, for example, 1/2 moongel to remove a bit of harmonic or 2 moongel to remove almost all harmonics!

excellent for toms, indeed but also on cymbals! placed on the bell of a ride, the moongel significantly reduces the overly long sustain. it also muffles quite a bit of the harmonics if placed on the edge of the bell. placed on the edge of the cymbal, it completely mutes everything and the ride cymbal becomes a kind of jazzy flat ride: in short, many possibilities for studio recording and it avoids the glue marks from gaffers on the cymbal. on the snare drum, it's also really effective, a more discreet effect than a remo o'ring: you can better manage the desired harmonic level, with one, two, three moongels depending on the type of shell and heads. for example, on my 14x5.5 metal, with evans genera heads, i placed two moongels on the edge of the heads facing each other and i still keep harmonics in drum position. they also wash very easily. only regret, the flashy blue color is quite ugly on white heads: when will there be differently colored moongel versions (black, white, cream)? that would be really nice! quickly: wwodbrass, need to restock the supplies! ;)

Laurence Vignot is right: it takes two for the snare drum if you want to eliminate all harmonics. In my case, one is missing for the floor tom. I find it less disturbing on this tom. I don't give the maximum rating because I think they could have added one in the box.
