Featuring innovative new technology from Roland, the KT-10 provides authentic feel and playability in a low-noise kick trigger pedal for V-Drums sound modules and other electronic percussion instruments. The all-in-one design offers fast, fluid response and a unique reverse-action trigger mechanism that makes the pedal not only compact in size, but also far quieter in operation than a kick pad played with a standard pedal and beater. With its small footprint, the KT-10 is ideal for use alongside an acoustic kick pedal in a hybrid drum set, and it also works great for expanding the capabilities of an SPD-series percussion pad or the HandSonic HPD-20. Of course, the KT-10’s pro feel, noise-reducing features, and portable convenience make it perfect for use with any V-Drums kit as well.

I'm a beginner in drumming so my opinion isn't really relevant since I can't compare it with a "real" one, but it works very well with a Roland TD1-KV and is clearly better than the original one supplied with the drum set which feels like a toy in comparison (it's heavy and all metal, not light plastic).

Excellent product: perfect dynamics, precise pedal in the strike, sensation "like a real one". One small drawback for velocity: even though the compact system is very clever, the foot slips a bit because of the smooth pedal surface and the rebound of the "beater" is less effective than a real one.

I find the pedal expensive for what it is, but nothing to report regarding its use. Just a bit of a shame (especially given the price) that you can't choose some bass drum sounds on the pedal to send directly to a mixing console. Note, the pedal is quite bulky
