The Tortex was invented by Jim Dunlop in 1981 to replace the tortoiseshell. Over the decades, this material has established itself as THE standard of the genre by allowing musicians of all styles to find the perfect pick for their type of play.

I find it very good with an electric guitar. For acoustic, I prefer the yellow one (0.73) which is a bit less rigid.
