D16 Antresol is a flanger effect plugin designed to add depth, movement, and color to your tracks and buses. It excels on rock guitars (riffs, arpeggios, rhythms) as well as on melodic synths, pads, electric keyboards, drums (overheads, room), or vocals for bolder textures. Thanks to its "stomp box" DNA and modern mixing tools, Antresol covers a wide spectrum: from subtle stereo thickening to pronounced sweeping effects typical of vintage and psychedelic productions.
The core of Antresol is based on a carefully crafted emulation of an analog BBD delay line (impulse-controlled, solid-state). This approach aims to reproduce the subtleties of analog behavior, including a degree of natural complexity, while maintaining reliable usability in production. The result: a flanger with a warm grain, capable of producing rich resonances and phase dips without harsh digital artifacts.
Antresol offers an M/S mode (Mid/Side) in addition to L/R processing, allowing you to refine the stereo image musically. You can emphasize movement on the sides, stabilize the center of the mix, or sculpt the overall image with precision. The Channel X-Fade facilitates balancing between channels depending on the chosen mode.
The stereo LFO is fully controllable, with phase adjustment and host tempo synchronization. Antresol also allows you to unlink the stereo channels and adjust certain parameters independently for left and right (or Mid/Side), helping to create wide, animated, or intentionally asymmetric flangers that bring life to static sources.
The Mistress mode enables Antresol to handle key mix and feedback settings to quickly achieve the distinctive sound associated with the classic flanger. Ideal for getting a "ready-to-record" tone on a guitar, pad, or effects bus, then fine-tuning with detailed controls.
To integrate easily into any setup, Antresol offers multiple interface sizes with HiDPI support, as well as MIDI Learn for quick parameter assignment to controllers (automation, performance, live or recording transitions).
