Essential Information About the Motion Filter Software
- Creative motion filter combining envelope follower and LFO to animate any source, from subtle trembles to cinematic sweeps.
- Ultra-clean sound thanks to a Nyquist-corrected architecture providing surgical response even at extreme settings.
- Frictionless workflow: clear interface, immediate adjustments, external sidechain, and essential controls within easy reach.
- Total flexibility: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, or notch modes, slopes from 12 to 96 dB/octave, static or dynamic resonance.
What Motion Filter Is For
Motion Filter is designed to inject movement and dynamics into your mixes and sound designs. It advantageously replaces a static filter to bring pads, vocals, guitars, or percussion to life, and can become a central effect for creating transitions, builds, and drops without relying on automation. In sidechain mode, it reacts to a source like the kick drum to sculpt the rhythmic space.
Main Features
Two complementary motion engines
The "Sweeper" mode follows the signal dynamics via an envelope follower for organic movements that lock to the groove. The "LFO" mode applies tempo-synchronizable patterns based on smooth or stepped waveforms for precise repetitive effects.
Precise filter path control
Set the "Start" and "End" points for frequency, lock their ratio with "Freq Lock," and invert the trajectory via "Filter Flip." Slopes up to 96 dB/octave offer soft or surgical shaping as needed.
Expressive and dynamic resonance
Choose between "Regular" or "Dynamic" resonance. In dynamic mode, set start and end values to emphasize movement around the cutoff without unwanted harshness.
Workflow designed for speed
Activatable tooltips guide the learning curve. Dry/wet mix, bypass, and output gain allow instant effect integration without automation overload.
