MicroPitch is a high-resolution stereo pitch shifting plug-in designed to instantly add more width and density to a source without drowning it in reverb. It excels on vocals, guitars, synths, electric pianos, pads, choirs, and effects buses by adding two slightly detuned and delayed versions of the signal to achieve a wider, livelier, and more "three-dimensional" sound.
Beyond simple "stereo spread," MicroPitch also becomes a true creative toolbox: vintage slapback, tempo-synced delays, thick modulations, and pitch rise or fall effects via feedback. The result: a tool as relevant for sound design as for modern mixing (pop, rock, electro, hip-hop, cinematic).
MicroPitch combines two pitch shifting voices: one goes down to -50 cents, the other up to +50 cents, each independently delayable (up to 2 seconds). This architecture allows for natural stereo widening, but also more pronounced effects when pushing delay times for slapbacks and rhythmic echoes.
The TONE control helps integrate the processed voices into the mix by adjusting their color, useful to avoid excessive brightness or, conversely, to brighten a doubling. Modulation (depth and rate) adds a chorus-like movement to each voice, perfect for thickening leads or adding "life" to a static take. Finally, FEEDBACK opens the door to pitch dive or rise effects, as well as more intense repeats for transitions and textures.
Inherited from a performance-oriented approach, RIBBON allows real-time evolution of the effect between two states: moving from simple sweetening to a delay-throw, or transforming a dark delay into a brighter delay for transitions. In production, it works very well with automation; live, it becomes a smooth and expressive macro control. Meanwhile, MIXLOCK keeps the overall mix level constant when changing presets, allowing you to compare atmospheres without level variations.
