Analog Channel HD v7 is a plug-in designed to bring a credible analog signature to your sessions, whether in mixing or mastering. It allows you to add density, cohesion, and a "glue" feeling on individual tracks (vocals, drums, bass, guitars, synths) as well as on buses (drum bus, mix bus). Thanks to its two configurations, you can choose either a "console channel" approach with the AC101 or a more pronounced "tape" approach with the AC202, to recover rounder transients, progressive saturation, and a more organic character.
The AC101 module focuses on emulating an adjustable analog amplifier, designed to enrich the signal without altering it. On a vocal, it can bring presence and slight harmonic thickening; on a bass or kick, it helps reinforce the sense of foundation; on synths, it adds depth and a less "clinical" sound. Availability in mono and stereo allows integration on both individual tracks and buses, maintaining a stable image.
The AC202 module aims for a more complete reproduction of tape system behavior, with typical tape machine controls such as bias, tape speed, and selection of IEC1/2 standards. This approach is ideal for shaping dynamics musically: softening overly aggressive attacks, thickening low-mids, smoothing the high end, or giving a more "vintage" feel to digital recordings. The AC202 is also designed to cover professional speeds and different tape formulations, to achieve various degrees of natural saturation and compression, from subtle to more colored.
Analog Channel HD v7 includes a playback head emulation based on specifications and measurements from recognized reproduction system manufacturers, to recover typical playback behavior (tonal contour, sense of depth, interaction with tape). The plug-in uses double-precision processing (double-precision arithmetic) to preserve quality during cumulative processing, and remains suitable for dense projects thanks to its ultra low latency.
