Waves Abbey Road RS56 Passive EQ is an equalization plugin inspired by the historic RS56, originally designed for mastering and widely used in vinyl cutting rooms. Its "musical decisions first" approach makes it a formidable tool for sculpting a mix without harshness: elegantly opening the high end, thickening low mids, or reshaping the tonal balance of a drum bus and a synth bus. The DNA of the RS56 is musicality: instead of offering an infinite number of sometimes counterproductive settings, each band provides 4 carefully chosen frequencies and 6 filter types ranging from a "blunt" to "sharp" character.
