THE ULTIMATE PORTABLE RECORDER
With built-in X/Y microphones, two mixed input jacks, recording layering, effects and more, the H4n Pro has numerous features that allow musicians to create their tracks from start to finish. The H4n Pro can record the loudest and most violent performances without distortion up to 140 dB SPL. Take a line-level stereo source directly to the mixing console and capture the ambience of the room with the X/Y microphones.

PROFESSIONAL QUALITY PREAMPS
The H4n Pro features high-performance, low-noise mic preamps with recording resolutions up to 24 bit/96 kHz. Noise reduction (−120 dBu equivalent input noise) allows you to record at lower volumes with less noise and fewer imperfections. Functioning as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface for PC or Mac, the H4n Pro lets you record directly into your computer. THREE RECORDING MODES
Stereo mode can be used with the built-in X/Y microphones or external microphones and is convenient for recording live performances, acoustic instruments and more. 4-channel (4CH) mode records simultaneously with the built-in X/Y microphones and through the two external inputs, to receive both room ambience and direct stereo sound from the mixing console. MTR (Multitrack) mode turns your device into a four-track studio, with built-in effects, recording overdubbing functions, and the ability to work on previously recorded audio files.

This is the first time I have had a device of this type. I bought it because I have been part of a choir for a few months. Recordings on mobile phones were almost unusable. Here I am surprised by the ease of use and the extreme clarity of the sound from the first use. Listening with headphones gives a better hearing sensation than on site. The "mark" is very practical as well as the automatic generation of new files. With the remote control in hand, all the pieces repeated during the evening are captured on the fly in separate recordings. Regarding Cubase, it was initially a headache because I am a novice in the field, understanding the license device and the installation procedure was already not easy, then fortunately there are tutorials to approach the philosophy of the tool, little by little I realize the extent of the possibilities.. see you in ten years..... Excellent product. The handling is not intuitive: you absolutely have to read the user manual. The interface is in English. Note that the recording quality can only be heard through an external connection to a good headset or a good amplifier. I would have liked to be able to record in FLAC. Finally, the remote control - although wired and not included - quickly proves necessary

Compared to the Zoom H2, I appreciate the fact that you can instantly listen to recordings, fast forward, and that the sound quality is superior. However, the screen could have been improved. It is not very readable. I still need to find the right adjustment to have perfect sound! ??

This Zoom h4n Pro replaces my old h4n which unfortunately fell during a shoot (RIP), I was very satisfied with it hence this repurchase with full knowledge. And in addition to the improvements made on this model, the black version is sublime!
