From the neck to the bell, the entire general design of the Custom Z has been rethought and reexamined. It is equipped with a new one-piece hand-hammered bell, providing more flexibility across all registers, and a V1 neck producing an open, expressive sound with precise response and perfect control.
One-piece hand-engraved bell
In the purest tradition of coveted vintage saxophones, the 82Z is equipped with a one-piece bell. This design significantly improves response in the low register, offering the musician a wide sound palette. More elaborate with extremely fine details, the hand engraving provides a very beautiful finish.
V1 Neck
Among Yamaha's Custom necks, the V1 Neck has the largest bore, which gives it a greater sound opening and a wide dynamic range. The sound is more centered with many harmonics, offering the musician great freedom of expression.
