Always with the goal of expanding the literature for the saxophone, these miniatures commissioned from seven creators are perfectly targeted for "Teen" adolescents seeking substantial musical material at an intermediate level, in order to develop their aesthetic sense, technique, and creativity. Faithful to Adolphe Sax's instrument, the seven artists composed with their intrinsic poetry: spectralism with the French Thierry Alla, virtuosic folklore with the Catalan David Salleras, poetic atonality with the Canadian Robert Lemay, contemplative intimacy with the Italian Gualtiero Dazzi, neoclassicism with the Belgian Alain Crepin, neotonal lyricism from the Japanese Ryo Noda, and post-dodecaphonism with the French Vincent David. A vision of the saxophone of tomorrow emanates from this collection of miniatures, where expressive depth, at the heart of the compositional process, already allows the student to project themselves onto the professional stage.
