Ableton Live 11 is fast, smooth and flexible software for music creation and performance. It comes with all kinds of effects, instruments, sounds and creative tools - everything you need to produce any kind of music. With Live's two modes of operation, and a whole bunch of creative tools and sounds with endless possible combinations, the only possible limit to your music is your imagination. Session View lets you quickly set up your ideas - play, mix, and match audio and MIDI loops of different lengths and tempos without ever interrupting the music. In Arrangement view, you organize music along a timeline and build sections of your song. Or record an arrangement directly from the Session view and improvise a finished composition.
PLAY ON STAGE WITH LIVE
On stage, you can trigger, re-sequence and remix your music in real time. Adjust almost any element of Live from your controller with the flexibility of MIDI mapping. You can design unique personal combinations of instruments and effects, and use up to 16 macros to control any parameters you want. Find settings you like and save them as macro snapshots to create instant climbs, drops, and variations as you perform.
Use Live to drive your entire show. Control external devices, integrate external effects or mixers. Solo improvise, re-sample sounds in real time, or process audio played by others. And now Live can become a dynamic member of the group - with tempo tracking, he can listen to incoming audio and adjust his tempo in real time. DJs can even use Live as a tempo-synchronized effects box.
CONNECT, EXPAND AND CUSTOMIZE
Not only does Live come with everything you need, you can use it almost in any way you want. Connect Live to any MIDI controller, including MPE compatible hardware, which allows you to add pitch curves, glissandos and pressure values to each individual note of a chord, adding subtle variations expression and create scalable sound textures with your hands. Expand your setup with Ableton Link, a technology built into Live that keeps multiple devices in sync over a network connection. This makes it easier to play alongside other music apps such as Reason, Serato, and a growing number of iOS apps and hardware incorporating Link technology.
There are still other innovative ways to connect and personalize made possible by Max for Live, which integrates the Max programming environment directly into Live. They allow you to customize many of Live's devices, create them from scratch, and even hack how Live works. You can connect Live to lights, cameras, sensors, surround sound setups, and more. And discover a whole world of ready-made instruments, effects and tools produced by the Max for Live community.
