Description

If you and your Telecaster are ready for a thick sound, without buzz and without losing too much Twang, discover the Seymour Duncan BG1400.

Since the beginnings of Seymour Duncan, guitarists have turned to the Custom Shop to bring more power and bite to their vintage guitars. Over the past three decades, one of the most requested pickups at the Custom Shop has been the BG1400. This pickup was designed for Telecaster enthusiasts seeking a thicker sound, without buzz, while avoiding sacrificing the twang.

This bridge position pickup is therefore designed with a pair of well overwound stacked coils and Alnico V magnets. The overwinding provides that sought-after massive sound, and the coil stacking eliminates the buzz of single coils. The BG1400 thus delivers a slightly more compressed signal than a classic equivalent but perfectly balanced, with a nice attack thanks to the Alnico V, and equal presence on each string.

Its 4-conductor design offers the possibility of wiring with a switch to select only one coil out of the two.

Handmade at the Seymour Duncan workshop in Santa Barbara, California (USA), the BG1400 Telecaster bridge pickup moves from the Custom Shop to the standard catalog, thus reducing cost and manufacturing lead times.
