1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue TV Yellow
Epiphone, in partnership with Gibson Custom, is proud to present the reissue of the 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut, a recreation inspired by Gibson Custom of the highly sought-after 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut. Like the originals, it features a mahogany body with double cutaways that provide excellent access to the entire length of the fingerboard. The one-piece mahogany neck has a fast-playing 60s SlimTaper profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. The Gibson "open-book" style headstock is equipped with Epiphone Deluxe tuners with white buttons and a GraphTech nut, ensuring smooth and stable tuning, while a historical-style Wraparound bridge anchors the strings securely at the end and contributes to the excellent sustain for which the Les Paul Special is known. A set of P-90 Soapbar pickups made in the USA by Gibson Custom, whose tone ranges from sweet and clean to downright nasty and dirty, are hand-wired with volume and tone knobs, high-quality CTS pots, and Bumblebee oil-filled capacitors for an authentically vintage sound that can satisfy the most demanding tone aficionados. The 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut reissue comes in a vintage-style case with a brown exterior and pink interior, featuring graphics inspired by Gibson Custom.
