Hello everyone, I bought this amp to replace my original 2003 Fender Blues Junior which has accompanied me for about fifteen years. I had apprehensions about the transistor especially after the accidental acquisition of the Roland GA-112 which sounded very bad in crunch/saturated mode... so Blues Junior at full blast in a blues/rock register with Overdrive. (US Stratocaster) Big surprise with the Roland Blues Cube Hot which is as good as the Fender BJ. The frequencies emphasized are not the same between the two but it sounds top-notch! The advantages of the Roland Blues Cube: - Weight - No tube but it's just like it without maintenance issues - Takes pedals well with a similar output to the Blues Junior (overdrive delay..) - Cheaper than the BJ - Power selector is great! I have to test it in a band soon, I will update the review.. meanwhile it's a quality amp like its big brother the Blues Stage.... Top for concerts! For restaurant, piano bar and pub for blues. The amp can easily be used without pedals with a clean sound at 3 or 4 on the volume and the Boost knob which adds Gain (not volume) If bigger concert, pedal use is mandatory.. and it's the same for the Blues Stage... Simply, if you add a delay you have to put it at the end of the chain for better output The only thing: as soon as you activate a pedal, generally, the frequency spectrum is much narrower (less bass and less treble more in the mids..) Tested with a Boss SD-1. In any case, superb amp!!!... (Show more)

I hesitated for a long time with a 5w Fender tube amp. I am very happy with this purchase, it really breathes quality, the sound is exactly what I needed (Blues rock), really great in terms of sound! Plus, it sounds good at any volume unlike a tube amp. I'm going to add a Boss footswitch and off we go! I really think this amp deserves to be more well known!! I recommend it with my eyes closed.
