This is my first recorder but I already play Native American flute, Irish flute, and ocarina. This flute has a very nice sound, really! The notes are accurate, beautiful, and it's far from being as loud as the ocarina I find. So for use in an apartment, I find it quite feasible. During the break-in period, the brand advises not to play more than 20 minutes per day, I try to stick to it but it's hard! That said, I see that it is necessary because the high notes scream a bit after 15 minutes of playing, probably due to condensation. I imagine it will be fine after the break-in.
