The Pearl Bendo Nut shaker is made from the fruit of the Artocarpus tree and produces a bright woody tone. The shaker features a 5" loop handle connected to 16 short strands of Bendo nuts. Each strand contains 2 hand-attached nuts.
Natural nut shakers The Awakening series has been expanded to include a series of natural nut shakers that provide earthy tones complementing the series. Kenari, Bendo, and Pangi nuts come in small, medium, and large sizes, and each size has unique sound properties used in the shakers. Kenari nuts are the smallest, and their hard triangular exterior becomes a miniature sound chamber when played. The Kenari Nut chime includes 26 strands of Kenari nuts, with 6 nuts per strand. The Kenari nut shaker measures 7" long and features 22 rows of nuts, with 6 nuts per row, and a 5" rattan handle wrapped in nylon. The new Kenari Nut Shaker bracelet includes 14 individually strung Kenari nuts that musicians can wear to layer sounds when playing an instrument like the guitar or cajon.
