MOOER burst onto the music scene in 2010 with the first mini-format guitar effect pedals. The original concept was developed by four friends, all passionate about the fusion of music and technology, in the city of Shenzhen, China. Since then, MOOER has become a market leader by offering high-tech products with professional sound to musicians worldwide.
In April 2020, MOOER unveiled version 2.0 of the MNRS engine (MOOER Non-linear Response Sample). At the same time, the brand began collaborating with experienced instrument designer Kenji Wong to develop the GTRS line, the first electric guitars featuring a fully integrated MOOER effects system.
With GTRS, MOOER aimed to deliver the latest audio technology to musicians while paying tribute to the guitar: a product that inherits the beauty of traditional guitars while benefiting from the convenience of modern technology. This way, passionate players could perform more often at home or on the road without compromising their tone!
After years of research and development, the first prototype was made available to professional guitarists worldwide. Thanks to their feedback and input, the GTRS guitar was updated and refined until the release of the first S800 series model. A Premium model with alder body and a new pickup set is also offered under the P800 reference.
