Born from the collaboration between PRS and David Grissom, the SE DGT Standard condenses the spirit of the "McCarty" models (carved "Shallow Violin" top, PRS ergonomics) into an accessible and robust version. The all-mahogany construction and nickel hardware prioritize natural resonance and reliability, without any excess.
Designed for intermediate to expert musicians, it excels in blues, rock, country, and fusion. The two independent volumes offer fine control over the neck/bridge blend, while the coil split expands the palette toward clearer, more percussive textures for rhythm playing.
The mahogany body/neck combination provides warmth, musical compression, and sustain, with a strong presence in the mids. The DGT "S" humbuckers deliver a dense and articulate tone; in split mode, you get sharper attacks perfect for arpeggios or biting crunch. The PRS vibrato maintains tuning while adding dimension to sustained notes.
A set of 10?46 electric strings (nickel) to maintain original tension, an adjustable strap with secure locks, a quality 6.35 mm jack cable (straight or angled on the guitar side depending on preference), an adjustable capo for electric guitar, and an A-frame or wall mount stand for solidbody guitars.
