THE MOST VERSATILE NORTH SYNTHETIZER EVER MANUFACTURED With 4 independent synthesizers in a single machine, the Nord Wave 2 allows you to superimpose classic waveforms and samples. Two OLED screens dedicated to Programs and the Oscillator Section provide an excellent overview when it comes to shaping your sounds. The wide range of performance features and real-time modifiable effects make the Nord Wave 2 the most versatile Nord synth ever built.
LAYER SECTION The Nord Wave 2 offers a Layer section with 4 potentiometers for easy control of the volume or panning of the 4 layers simultaneously. The Layer section also provides other handy features for quick editing, working simultaneously on the selected Layers: solo pan control and multiple editing. The new Group function allows you to group 2,3 or 4 Layers and process them with the same filters, envelopes, arpeggiators, LFOs and effects, which is perfect for working on complex multilayer sounds that can be edited as one and same sound. On the other hand, three keyboard split points are available, which offers four playing zones with possibilities of fading between these zones.
OSCILLATOR SECTION The oscillator section of each of the 4 layers offers 4 modes: analog modeling, wave table, FM, and sample reading. Access is simplified thanks to the new category potentiometer. Oscillator parameters include additional control of Shape, Sync or Detune parameters. The oscillator section also has a multiple Unison effect Superwaves which simultaneously generate hundreds of waveforms for extremely thick and fat sounds
FILTERS, AMP & LFO The filter section has 6 kinds of filters including an impressive ladder filter emulation found in the legendary Mini. It also has a full ADSR envelope. We also find by layer: a dedicated LFO with choice of waveform, a vibrato and an AD / AR type modulation envelope with a velocity setting and an inversion mode. The LFO has several "morphables" parameters and its frequency can be synchronized to the main clock.
