With its innovative and elegant hardware and legendary shells crafted according to the Gretsch formula, Catalina Maple is the preferred series for drummers seeking a Gretsch drum set with exceptional sound, ergonomic playing comfort, and a contemporary, refreshing look.
The Catalina Maple hardware includes the round "gas cap" bass drum mount and the improved low-profile GTS Tom Suspension System 2025, mounted off the shell, which offers significantly longer sustain and a more natural sound for the toms. The 2025 upgrade also includes the new Full Range Throw Off system and the new counterpart on all Catalina snare drums, ensuring improved and more reliable functionality. Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts are included on all fittings for a comfortable feel for the drummer, and the bass drum claws are pressure-cast and rubber-isolated to keep the bass drum hoops looking new.
The 7-ply maple shells made with the Gretsch formula have 30-degree bearing edges and a natural interior. The bass drums are equipped with telescopic bass drum spurs and matching maple hoops. The toms and snare drums feature 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops. All shells come with Remo® drumheads.
