The hummingbird is known for being on many recordings and it's not without reason. No need to spend hours trying 50 mics, lots of mic placements..., it's a guitar that sounds directly in the recording. And for those who have already looked into acoustic guitar recording, we know that few guitars have this quality, which is very different from the sound you hear when you're in the same room as the instrument. It's also one of the rare guitars that sounds on its own, guitar + voice, no need to add drums, bass, etc.... it fills the entire spectrum in a very balanced way. So yes, it's expensive but time is money and the time you will lose with an instrument even at 1500 euros will be quickly amortized. You can get lucky with cheaper guitars, but it's a bit like the lottery, yes, a small guitar (300 400 euros) can sound very good on a recording, but how many out of 1000 factory-made units? You can be surprised by the purchase by correspondence of a product of this type, and I myself a few years ago would have said the same thing. But as I indicated earlier, the sound of an instrument when you play it and when you record it is too different for me to buy it without having done a recording with it.
