Description

The YTS-280 saxophones offer a perfect start because they are designed with the young beginner in mind. Relatively light-weight and ergonomically shaped, they are easy to hold and to play. The intonation is perfect, as you would expect from Yamaha, and it is easy to get a great sound. The Yamaha design offers beginners optimum support, thus greatly assisting both learning progress and creativity.

Based on the highly recommended YTS-275 saxophones the new YTS-280 are even further enhanced with a new, more stable neck receiver and a new low B-C# connection for better adjustment.

New neck receiver with a durable screw
A redesigned neck receiver promotes a quick response and ease of play while also increasing the durability of the mechanism.

Improved Low B-C# connection
An improved mechanism from low B-C# ensures the consistent closing of the low C# key and promotes a clear response from notes in the low range of the instrument.

Adjustable thumb-rest
All Yamaha saxophones feature an adjustable thumb-rest to allow for precise and comfortable hand and fingering position.

This is the second saxophone I have bought. The first one I went to pick up in Paris, a YAS 280. The second one I had delivered. Unacceptable delivery. The delivery person rang the bell and left the package on the sidewalk. ... I had called Woodbrass beforehand to make sure I was not taking any risk with a delivery. I specify that on the box you can see the photo of the saxophone ... anyone could have taken the package. We were lucky. Also, I did not sign a receipt. The box is in bad condition, but the saxophone is great :-) Woodbrass also stopped the loyalty benefits, which is a shame.
