The range of new LYD monitors is built on the heritage of the famous BM, the monitors that have left their mark on decades of musical production. LYDs totally refresh and update this segment by taking advantage of the latest signal processing and amplification technologies. They retain the qualities that have established the reputation of Dynaudio Pro: excellent bass reproduction at low volume, precision and prolonged listening without fatigue. Each speaker is amplified by a Class D 96kHz / 24bit module, equipped with a new soft dome tweeter and an MSP (magnesium silicate polymer) membrane woofer. The Bass Extension, Sound Balance and Position Mode selectors allow you to optimize the speaker according to the listening location. The LYD series is made in Denmark in the purest Dynaudio tradition.
The LYD-5 redefines the concept of a compact proximity monitor. Thanks to its precision at low volume, it excels in close listening in tight spaces, small setups and optimized home studios. Handcrafted loudspeakers, state-of-the-art Class D amplification with 24-bit / 96kHz signal handling and DSP control are the ingredients that have been expertly combined to deliver outstanding performance. The woofers are equipped with aluminum coils whose light weight allows a fast and precise response to transients. To ensure the ideal balance between moving masses, precision and flexibility, the cone and the dome of the woofer are molded from one piece of magnesium silicate polymer, for unmatched reproduction.
