"Evo" for "Evolution": the Focal "Alpha Evo 80" continues the Alpha series legacy by adding modern features and a redesigned enclosure. Its large-section laminar port, softened-edge baffle, and reinforced 15 mm MDF cabinet enhance rigidity and control resonance at high SPL levels.

Designed for control rooms, post-production suites, and ambitious home studios, the Alpha Evo 80 excels in mixing, pre-mastering, DJing, and broadcast. Its neutral tonal balance reduces listening fatigue, while its output level and deep bass facilitate low-end decision-making even without a subwoofer.

I bought the Focal Alpha Evo 80 to replace my Yamaha HS5, the difference in depth and stereo image is really crazy, the mids and highs are much more defined, there is infra that is not or very little on the HS5, I am really very happy with it :)
