Description

This new model tenor incorporates Yamaha's wooden design expertise with the convenience and durability of an ABS material. It offers a focused, mellow sound which is balanced in all registers.In addition to the more common soprano and alto recorders, ensembles often call for other keys such as toner, bass, and even 'Great' bass recorders. Yamaha offers a full line of top quality tenor and bass recorders in both ABS resin and natural wood materials. In addition, Yamaha's Great Bass recorder plays with a surprisingly effecient balance between air and broad focused sound.

It has a slight resistance when you play for better breath control which gives greater tonal expressivity and projection.

The flute is impeccable. Delivered with a small pot of grease for assembly. A lovely sound. So I am starting, it will accompany me for a long time, the double key greatly facilitates access to the lowest note. Very fast delivery. Too bad that for La Réunion, there is an additional tax of 12 euros on top of all taxes and shipping fees, which made the flute very expensive for me (+ more than 140 euros!!!).

I share the previous reviews. I would like to add an aesthetic clarification regarding the color of the flute, it is brown whereas in the photo it appears black. However, the double C key is indeed made of black plastic. A higher quality photo (that can be enlarged) and 2 close-ups (mouthpiece and keys) would be welcome.

Nice sound for "plastic": you can definitely feel some warmth and the sound is (naturally) less shrill than a soprano. Carrying case, cleaning rod, and grease box included! Of course, the little fingering chart leaflet too ;) Now all that's left is to practice!

Yamaha equals itself, nice sound for plastic, easy to handle with slightly offset holes for more convenience. small sticker accessory for support by the right thumb, to be adjusted by oneself, good idea.
