The DV Chicago Series
The silver-plated metal tenor saxophone mouthpiece model DV Chicago is the result of Jody Espina's research to create the most efficient saxophone mouthpiece that offers the most generous and richest sound. The DV CHI produces a deeper and less bright sound than the contemporary JodyJazz DV sound, but noticeably brighter and more modern than the JodyJazz DV NY. The beautiful shape of the baffle and chamber of the DV CHI produce a sound reminiscent of Dexter Gordon's, yet fits very well in a contemporary setting. In other words, the DV CHI combines the best properties of the highly successful DV and DV NY series, while adding several new design modifications that enhance players' ability to manipulate the sound.
