With its unscratched bark, the Vandoren V21 reed is the first saxophone reed with a conical shape. Versatile, it is suitable for all registers and allows a detached game of great precision. Obviously, its warm and centered sound does not prevent it from deploying a beautiful sound projection.

An artisanal and eco-responsible process.
From reed planting to packaging in flow-pack which protects reeds from variations in humidity, Vandoren masters all the stages of production of its famous reed strips. Cut by hand, the canes are carried on the back of a man on the edge of a reed bed. They are then leafed, sun-dried, dried, sawn, arrowed, tabbed, bevelled, ... No less than fifteen separate production stages which produce a considerable volume of reed waste which is reused as fertilizer for reed beds or as fuel for heating factory. Music at the service of ecology!

A premium, versatile reed, exceptional results whatever the style of music and whatever the mouthpiece.

This reed, whose bark is not scraped, is the first reed for a conical saxophone.
