Born from the legacy of the legendary ISA110 module that equipped the Forté console, the ISA One condenses this sonic character into a robust and portable chassis. The Lundahl LL1538 input transformer preserves clarity and dynamics, while the 4-position variable impedance modernizes the concept to suit today's microphones. Added to this are a dedicated DI and a comprehensive metering section, all at a particularly accessible price.
Perfect for professional studios as well as demanding home studios, the ISA One excels in recording vocals, guitars, basses, percussion, and acoustic sources. Its independent DI simplifies guitar/bass sessions, and the microphone input with adjustable impedance optimizes the performance of low-output microphones. The headphone monitoring with "Cue Mix" return reassures the artist and streamlines recording workflows.
The mic/line preamp features the classic ISA design with stepped gain for precise recall, +48 V phantom power, phase inversion, and a 75 Hz high-pass filter (18 dB/octave) to clean up the low end right from the source. The impedance selector (Low, ISA 110, Med, High) allows you to best exploit the character of each capsule, whether optimizing transparency or extracting more energy from a dynamic or ribbon microphone.
The separate DI channel has its own gain control, a Thru TRS output to feed an amplifier, and an independent DI XLR output. An insert point makes it easy to insert a compressor or EQ between the preamp/DI and the optional converter. On the metering side, the ISA One combines a calibratable needle VU and two 6-LED bargraphs, with pre- or post-insert reading and calibration aligned to the reference levels of Pro Tools HD systems. An optional stereo AD converter (the same card as the ISA430 MkII) facilitates digital integration.
