It's top class. The clean jazz tone is adjustable as desired, I love the sound's breadth (headroom), it's full, detailed, warm. No volume sensitivity issues with this 12AT7 pre-amplification in this mode.
The drive mode requires power in the tubes to crunch but that's logical.
Only the more drive mode is useless and unusable for me.
A superb machine to see over time for the reliability of the Hot Rod models... But I will probably install a Fromel kit once the warranty expires.
The price is expensive, and with inflation, it doesn't help.

Hello, tried in store with a Schecter Hellraiser 6FR with EMG 81 TW and EMG 89R pickups + BOSS ST-2 distortion pedal and BOSS CH-1. The clean sound output is really very pleasant with a lot of warmth and snap in the sound! The strong mids of the guitar coupled with the clarity of this Fender amp allow for very good sustain and an amazingly long note duration! The chorus blends very well with the clean sound and the guitar. On the distortion side, the amp allows playing very blues/rock things with these 2 overdrive channels 1/2. For my needs, I use my ST2 distortion pedal. The result is amazing! At 1/10 volume and the pedal with low volume, you would almost get feedback without doing anything! The sound grain is there, it sounds heavy and does not distort the amplifier! Waiting to try it with my band when I order it.
