I have now been using the Bird UM1 for 2-3 months, I use it for my videos and for a webradio that I am part of. For the damn sum of €50, I find it to be of excellent quality! Avoid placing it on a table/desk (in whatever way) because with the microphone, every little "tap" is strongly felt! (Preferably, use a microphone base or a microphone stand to place it on the floor!). This is also very noticeable on the Blue Yeti! A windscreen is also recommended (If you hesitate between a windscreen and a pop filter, it depends on your equipment, I took a windscreen because I don't have anything to attach the filter to). The only small drawback (which can be an advantage for some) is that the microphone is USB, so it will take up one more USB port, but this is an advantage for PCs without a sound card, as it is integrated into the microphone! As for the sound, I managed to hear my neighbors (who were not speaking loudly) with the microphone and the volume at max! So be careful with ambient noises and PC fans!... (Show more)

This microphone is of excellent quality, especially for its price! I recommend the PSA-1 pack that I personally purchased and which is perfect for starting whether it is for singing, voice-over recording, podcasting, and streaming; it is well made. I advise every buyer to get a pop filter or a windscreen which greatly improve recording quality (ref: woodbrass PF-01 for the pop filter and woodbrass WS02 for the windscreen which is also well made) With this, I can only recommend this microphone if you are a beginner, don't want to hassle, and want quality at an affordable price. I also recommend using voicemod for beginners and voicemeeter for the more experienced, two software programs that will allow you to modify the sound as you like!... (Show more)

Honestly, I don't know anything about microphones. So, I was looking for equipment to do covers, knowing that I can sing both low and high notes, but I mainly sing high notes (operas,...). I am surprised that this microphone, for the relatively low price it costs, is of such good quality. It manages to record without distortion up to certain high notes (like up to the high notes of the Queen of the Night). Very good equipment, from a quality/price ratio point of view!

Excellent quality product. The supplied accessories (cover & bassinet) are really very useful. The quality is remarkable and even exceeds all my original needs. According to the saying: "who can do more, can do less!" Very satisfied with this item. My only regret is technical, I would have also liked to be able to connect it to a camcorder via a Jack socket but it is not possible. Only the PC benefits from this recording quality, that's all!! Very good value for money, since I got this microphone, I am very satisfied. I had a headset with a microphone before, however, I was heard as if I were in a bathroom. I then bought this microphone for only €60 and now, I am heard normally, without resonance, without noise and without echo. Really perfect for chatting quietly with friends, making videos or any other things requiring vocal use.

Very good quality microphone, if this is your first real microphone you will be crazy about it. The sound is clear, warm, and really very precise. For use, nothing could be simpler, it's plug and play, you plug it in and it is immediately recognized. Also recognized by my PS5 with which I have a very good experience. I highly recommend this product.

Switching from an already good quality headset (sennheiser g4me one) to the bird UM1, the difference is huge, and its ease of use is a real plus, it's plug & play, you plug it in and it works, you need to adjust the sensitivity in Windows because the gain integrated into the microphone is set to 100% on Windows.

Fast delivery, delivery time respected. Functional microphone, very good quality, very good sound (with some adjustment though). For its price, it does the job very well. Accompanied by a Neewer boom pole at €20 to start, the microphone stays in place and is recognized by the computer without any issues.

An incredible microphone considering its value for money but a clear, perfect sound, without any interference and only 55 euros, I didn't believe it when my friends talked about it but yes, here it is. IF you had to choose a microphone, take this one without hesitation.

Easy to use for "home" recordings, especially with the open-source software Audacity. Also usable in video conferencing. USB cable included. Standard microphone stand mount. A pop filter may be necessary as a complement for voice recordings.
